Our senses are gateways to the world – and to ourselves. Everything we take in through our senses, whether sounds, impressions, words, or food, affects our nervous system and our overall well-being. Depending on our current constitution, we are able to digest these impressions well – or not.
For this reason, it is essential to take in what strengthens our essence (sara) while at the same time cultivating our capacity to process and digest experiences (agni), in order to return to a state of balance (sattva).
When we fall out of balance, this often shows up in two extremes: restlessness and overwhelm (rajas), which over time can lead to deep exhaustion and inner emptiness (tamas).
As a holistic system, Yoga helps us recognise our personal limits and regulate the nervous system. Ayurveda, with its four pillars of health, supports us in identifying the root causes of imbalance and addressing them sustainably.

For several years now, I have been travelling regularly to South Goa – to a place where Ayurveda is not understood as a concept, but lived as a healing tradition passed down through generations. In this environment, I have personally undergone several intensive Panchakarma treatments and experienced their profound and lasting effects on the body, mind, and nervous system.
This retreat has grown out of these personal experiences – as an invitation to encounter Ayurveda close to its origins, within an authentic setting that allows for deep slowing down, regeneration, and genuine transformation. At its heart lies a classical 14-day Panchakarma programme, individually tailored and guided by an experienced Ayurvedic team for whom this work is part of a long-standing family tradition.
The cleansing and healing process is complemented by a carefully attuned yoga practice, meditation, and Yoga Nidra, supporting you in letting go, settling the nervous system, and deepening your body’s natural capacity for regeneration. Surrounded by the vastness of the ocean, the rhythms of nature, and a protected, intimate setting, space opens for renewed clarity, inner balance, and sustainable renewal.

In our retreats, Ayurveda can be experienced in its traditional form – guided by Indian Ayurveda therapists for whom this knowledge has been a lived practice passed down through generations. Within a mindful and personal setting, authentic treatments are combined with yoga, breathwork, and conscious rest to support a holistic process of regeneration.
At the heart of each 10-day retreat are daily 90-minute, individually tailored Ayurvedic treatments. Classical applications such as Abhyanga, Pinda Sweda, or Shirodhara are carried out according to the principles of traditional Ayurvedic medicine and are finely attuned to each participant’s personal process over the course of the retreat.
The retreat location is nestled in the wide, open landscape of the Algarve mountains – a quiet and powerful place with expansive views. Surrounded by nature, light, and stillness, an atmosphere unfolds that supports deep slowing down, retreat, and profound regeneration. A regenerative yoga practice, combined with breathwork, meditation, and conscious rest, further deepens the therapeutic process and supports integration, stability, and sustainable renewal.
